    Clinical Supervisor has experience providing client centered, trauma informed counseling to individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. Clinical Supervisor will work alongside and collaborate with other program managers, staff, and clinicians to create workshops, consult to expand skills, and attend outreach opportunities to connect with community.

    The Clinical Supervisor directs and manages an effective clinical service delivery team using applicable principles of Social Work and/or Counseling which include - patient psychosocial assessment, group and individual psychotherapy, family intervention, patient/family education and treatment planning. The candidate must have addiction counseling certification in good standing, or an appropriate license. Candidate must be able to work early morning hours and available to work some weekends.

    Position Summary:

    Strategic Planning

    • Participates in the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures.
    • Works with Clinical Director on the ongoing development and evaluation of clinical services including creating and enforcing policies and procedures.

    Clinical Supervision

    • Oversees intake and assessment of each client's psychosocial status and functioning in an effort to document history and identify preliminary items for the treatment plan.
    • Supports therapists with the overall development and implementation of a comprehensive, individualized plan of treatment in conjunction with other treatment team members.
    • Supports therapists with incorporating the client's psychosocial functioning and strengths in the plan of care.
    • Supports therapists with providing and/or arranging therapeutic interventions as appropriate for patients or clients in a crisis situation.
    • Follows up with therapists to determine reliability and validity of treatment used; makes recommendations regarding modification to services and service delivery.
    • Consults with therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework; refers clients to appropriate service agencies as required.
    • Provides onsite safety planning and support for children, adults and families.

    Quality Assurance

    • Supports evaluation of program services to enhance client outcomes and acts as a positive change agent to implement clinical initiatives to increase quality client care.
    • Prepares and maintains reports and case histories.
    • Maintains current knowledge base on counseling issues regarding substance abuse and other psychosocial disorders through conferences, educational requirements for licensure, and applicable current literature.

    Collaboration

    • Collaborate with other departments, such as administration, finance, and human resources, to achieve organizational objectives.
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, community organizations, and other mental health providers.
    • Work with clinical staff to facilitate and implement workshops for community partners.

    Staff Development

    • Attends and leads staff meetings and team conferences; leads team meetings as required.
    • Participates in, leads, and/or coordinates training sessions and workshops to enhance treatment skills.
    Requirements:
    • 2 years post graduate work experience in clinical setting
    • Educational requirements: Master of Social Work or Counseling, LCSW required
    • Technical skills: bilingual written skills, experience with online health records, excel, power point
    • Background Check Required
    • Fluent Spanish speaking required
