The Role The Sr Systems Software Support Engineer is responsible for the support of the flow through of all activation activity via the Kenan billing process. We are willing to train on Kenan. The Main Responsibilities Oversee the server environment for Kenan, maintain client relationships, provide ticketing support, and run bill runs and operations. Support our team and customers with data and billing support. Technical support includes knowledge of UNIX, LINUX and Windows operating systems, ability to support the system during an outage, ability to write and interpret Oracle PL/SQL, ability to write UNIX shell scripts. This position requires that the individual lead efforts to perform analysis on outage situations, bill runs, and application issues. Manage change and incident tickets for standards and quality. Proactively identify areas of opportunity for processes improvements, training and learning activities. What We Look For in a Candidate Strong, independent performer able to work confidently in a fast-paced team environment. Knowledge of general operating system systems such as Windows, Unix, and Linux. Strong SQL skills and ability to write shell scripts, and trouble shooting. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Strong trouble shooting skills to independently perform analysis and support of complex midrange applications. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and efforts at the same time. Experience working projects with both onshore and offshore resources.
