- Process and verify invoices from vendors and suppliers in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy, authorization, and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors via check, EFT, or other approved methods, maintaining accurate records of payments made and outstanding balances.
- Manage vendor information, including contact details, payment terms, and tax information, resolving any discrepancies or issues as needed.
- Reconcile accounts payable records with general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to accounts payable processes.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding accounts payable matters.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, as well as internal and external audits as required.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
