    Description


    The Associate Financial Analyst (Business Financial Performance) provides financial support to the Business Financial Performance team in the areas of coordination and support of the operating companies to produce the Monthly Financial Reports, Capital spending and Operations and Maintenance expense vs budget variance analysis, the development of the businesses' financial budgets, and development of different reporting methods to add value to the businesses' financial performance.

    This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
    Essential Functions

    Supports the production of the Monthly Financial Report and Monthly Projection Report for the businesses both for capital spending and O&M expenses with variance analysis.

    Supports the annual budget process to assist in the completion of each major budget management task.
    Assists in the review and validation of financial model runs produced for the businesses.
    Communicates results of and any issues with financial performance to management.

    Coordinates and develops financial budgets and projections with input from departments and disciplines from across the company including financial forecasting, regulatory, corporate, and field functional areas, and accounting.

    Assists in the preparation of financial budgets and projections for presentation to executive management.
    Provides information to management to assist in the understanding of financial performance.

    Ensures communication through reports to departmental management monthly of any specific financial performance information such as budget versus actual and current versus prior year actual comparisons for making management decisions or evaluation of trends.

    Coordinates with all NU departmental areas on financial and business reporting requirements.
    Works effectively with others, providing financial analysis and problem-solving data.
    Qualifications

    Technical Knowledge/Skill:
    Knowledge of Cost Control Center Budgeting processes, financial reporting and analyses, and variance analysis
    Emerging financial acumen
    Ability to work with various levels within the organization
    Problem solving skills and ability to analyze data and provide recommendations
    Written and verbal communication skills
    Strong Customer service orientation
    Demonstrated skills with MS Office, particularly excel including all features

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline

    Experience :
    Zero plus years of experience

    Compensation and Benefits:
    Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $62,000 - $69,000 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
