Duties:

Analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's operations.
Maintain an awareness of higher echelon policy and guidance and utilizes sound technical in assuring the development or revision of planning and execution in light of policy, guidance, and requirements.
Work may include development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices.
Review and evaluate budget requests
Implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.

This position requires the successful completion of the Financial Management Level 2 Certification within 2 years of employment.

Specialized Experience_:_** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing audit analysis/evaluation of the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of financial programs; interpreting financial/budgeting policies and regulations; utilizing automated financial management systems to analyze and reconcile financial data and obligations.

Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Additional information:

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
One year trial/probationary period may be required.
Direct Deposit of Pay is required.

Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
