Duties:


  • Analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's operations.
  • Maintain an awareness of higher echelon policy and guidance and utilizes sound technical in assuring the development or revision of planning and execution in light of policy, guidance, and requirements.
  • Work may include development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices.
  • Review and evaluate budget requests
  • Implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.

  • This position requires the successful completion of the Financial Management Level 2 Certification within 2 years of employment.

Specialized Experience_:_** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing audit analysis/evaluation of the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of financial programs; interpreting financial/budgeting policies and regulations; utilizing automated financial management systems to analyze and reconcile financial data and obligations.


Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
