BrightKey is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end users, maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This role will involve tasks such as imaging laptops, user administration, replacing hard drives, and providing hands-on support to end users.

Schedule, Benefits, & Compensation:

Location: Onsite in Washington, DC
First shift, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:

Image/reimage of PCs/laptops
Update PCs/laptops when a new image has been created
Assign customers government assets using the Cherwell database
Encrypt flash/hard drives
Format regular flash drives, creating excel sheets for old/damaged/outdated assets
Utilize AirWatch to manage the Mobile devices (iPad & iPhone)
Creating admin passwords for the encrypted drives
Test keyboards, printers, and scanners
Remove hard drives from old/broken laptops that are being destroyed & are securely put into a bin for electronic disposal
Provide end user support and troubleshooting of software and hardware issues
Keep account on the stock of equipment, review and clean returned equipment considered usable for redistribution
Keep spreadsheet tracking all new rollout of new image to ensure smooth transition

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
Previous experience in a similar role providing IT support and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Proficiency with imaging software and tools (e.g., SCCM, Ghost).
Strong knowledge of user administration processes and best practices.
Experience with hardware replacement and repair, including hard drives, memory, and peripherals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to resolve technical issues.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
