    *POSITION DESCRIPTION*The Nurse Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the nursing staff in coordination with the Nurse Supervisor and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within a healthcare facility. This role involves managerial, administrative, and clinical responsibilities, requiring strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. This is a salaried, exempt position.

    *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Provides leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing supervisor and staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth and development.
    • Ensures adherence to nursing standards of practice, policies, and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
    • Monitors and evaluates patient care delivery, identifies areas for improvement and implements quality improvement initiatives.
    • Collaborates with healthcare providers, interdisciplinary teams, and other departments to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
    • Assess patient acuity and prioritize care delivery, allocating resources and staffing accordingly.
    • Addresses patient and family concerns, providing support, education, and advocacy.
    • Implements evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes.
    • Participates in regulatory compliance audits, surveys, and inspections, and implements corrective actions to address deficiencies.
    • Monitors infection control practices, medication administration, and other patient safety measures.
    • Develops and manages departmental budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient use of resources.
    • Monitors and controls expenses related to staffing, supplies, equipment, and other operational costs.
    • Identifies opportunities for cost-saving measures and process improvements to optimize resource utilization.
    • Facilitates ongoing education and training for nursing staff along with the Nurse Supervisor by ensuring compliance with licensure and certification requirements.
    • Encourages participation in continuing education, professional development activities, and performance improvement initiatives.
    • Stays abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in nursing leadership and healthcare delivery.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    *SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES*:
    • Directly supervises the Nurse Supervisor, who oversees nursing staff, including nurse leads and nursing department.
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
    • Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
    *REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    *PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
    • Three (3) years hematology/oncology experience.
    *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.
    • Ability to build relationships with team members while also upholding organizational expectations.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Communicate well verbally, using appropriate grammar and professional conversation skills required.
    • Knowledge of nursing standards of practice, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
    *LANGUAGE SKILLS*: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.

    $130, $135,000.00 per year
