Utilization Management NurseJob Description
In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing requests for service authorizations to assist with utilization of appropriate medical services.
This role includes providing education to physicians and other team members on issues related to utilization review (UR) including appropriate admissions and placements.
You will also manage continuity of care, ensure safe transitions, ensure patient satisfaction and safety, ensure provider satisfaction, and appropriate length of stay.
Hard SkillsActive nurse licensure in the state of FL
Knowledge of case management and UR concepts
Utilization review of prior authorizations for medical necessity
Familiarity with and ability to apply Milliman and InterQual criteria
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position with 2 days in-office and 3 days remote.
Work Environment
This role is a full-time position with shifts either from 8:30am to 5pm or 8am to 5pm, depending on your preference for an hour lunch break.
You will work under the supervision of the Medical Director and/or Medical Management supervisor and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
This is a fast-paced environment and we are currently operating on a hybrid work-from-home/office model.About Actalent
