Job Summary:
The Marketing and Communications Director works closely with the Director of Advancement to develop and execute marketing and communication plans and content for both internal and external audiences.
The primary purpose of this position is to support the admissions, marketing, and development objectives through creation and management of clear and intentional content.
An understanding of classical Christian education is also vital as the foundation of all projects.A strong work ethic, ability to work independently and in a team, and skills in creativity and project management are required.
Job Requirements:
Clear understanding and support of the model and mission of HCA
Bachelor's degree (marketing degree preferred)
Previous experience in a school environment preferred
Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational, leadership, and creativity skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro/Rush, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator), Meta Business Suite, Google Ads/Analytics, Mailchimp, and Microsoft Office preferred
Proficiency in photography/videography preferred
Job Responsibilities:
Social MediaEstablish social media calendar (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
Monitor comments and messages on school's profiles
Understand Meta Business Suite
Website CMS-Understand website CMS (Squarespace)
Implement front-end and back-end edits on the website
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, or ability to learn
Understand basic SEO tactics and best practices
Comfortability creating new website pages (content, design, photos)
Advertising-Ability to monitor Google Ads and Google Analytics, and make adjustments to improve results
Familiarity with Google Ads and Analytics
Design and implement Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram)
Conduct strategic campaign research, development, optimization, analysis, and performance tracking to improve CTR and reduce CPC
Set up/understand pixel tracking, URL conversion tracking, and lookalike audience creation
Design and coordinate print and radio advertising campaigns
Graphic Design-Familiarity in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Premiere Rush, Acrobat)
Understand design principles, typography, and color theory
Advancement-Assist with event planning and preparation
Discuss and implement admissions and development strategies with corresponding directors
Design, print, and order marketing materials for the Advancement Office
Assist in all campus communications of the school through emails, flyers, invitations, etc.
Design, edit, and publish the school's Weekly Newsletter
Photography / Videography / PodcastingPhoto and video documentation skills on a DSLR Cameras, and an eye for documenting live events.
Edit and publish the school's weekly podcast
All Other Duties as Assigned by the Director of Advancement
