    Under the direct supervision of the Director of Engineering and Support and Assistant Director of Engineering and Support, to effectively manage the support team and maintain all studio, audio network and program delivery systems and provide direct Information Technology and computer support assistance to Moody Radio's Chicago radio operations. Further, to assist with developing the long-term vision for technical support operations - how we catalog existing equipment, set dates for maintenance, workflows, network maps, monitoring software, etc.

  • Oversee and directly manage the work assignments of the Chicago Technical Support staff, creating and maintaining a team approach for resolving all Radio Operation's technical needs.
  • Manage and provide oversight for the complete IT-based radio systems infrastructure of Moody Radio's on-air operation systems leading to reliable service and to develop proper back up and contingency plans to ensure a consistent, uninterrupted sound for all broadcast systems.
  • Manager will be responsible for the Axia audio network routing system within the Chicago radio facilities. This includes interfacing with the Operations and Production Services department to maintain the smooth operation of all audio routing between studios and through the airchain to uplinks and transmitter sites.
  • Manage and maintain all broadcast related IT computers and system equipment in the Moody Radio operations. Secondarily, as workload permits, the manager and team will provide office-related computer support in conjunction with MBI Information Technology Systems computer technicians.
  • Manager will ensure that the technical support team provides effective and satisfactory technical support for owned and operated radio stations including satellite program delivery, automation and local Axia audio network troubleshooting.
  • Be available on an on-call basis for emergency repairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • 3-5 years of radio station or network operations experience
  • Computer science background
  • Authorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship
  • Preferred Requirements

  • IT Networking knowledge in broadcast environment
  • Radio Studio Maintenance Experience
  • Systems management Experience
