    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:30pm) (Flexible by 30 mins); Hybrid and Remote options available, based on experience.

    What You Will Do: The Patient Account Representative must demonstrate knowledge and skills in all aspects of patient accounting, medical billing, and managed care/insurance. The position is responsible for the daily coordination of patient billing, takes direction from the Billing Manager, should function independently in the role.

    • Assist inter-company customers with questions regarding insurance matters, current account status, and billing questions.
    • Make a record of all patient interactions and/or account task updates to ensure all staff can follow up appropriately.
    • Ensure patients statement balances are current and process payments as needed.
    • Complete daily report (previous day's work) and post payments paid by check, cash, or processed through Retriever.
    • Post charges from superbills, send out statements, and payments due notices.
    • Provide patients (as requested) with a copy of insurance claim forms after posting charges.
    • Maintain and update all patient accounts as needed.
    • Accurately post charges for ART cycles and surgeries.
    • Notify Patient Financial Services Department when monies are owed after charges are posted.
    • Post insurance and patient payments received during visits or by mail.
    • Coordinate billing when the insurance covers the procedure (per business office policy).
    • Complete appeals and send necessary documentation to facilitate payment when insurance providers provide wrong reimbursement, low reimbursement, and/or incorrect insurance denials.
    • Verify patient account and electronic medical record to ensure services billed match services rendered.
    • Other specific duties as assigned.

    What You Bring:

    • High school diploma required.
    • Minimum one-year (1) previous medical billing experience required.
    • Previous experience in reproductive medicine or Women's health is preferred.

Employees are required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; operation of standard office machines and equipment (computer, telephone, photocopier, and scanner).

    CCRM's Compensation: The salary range represents the national average compensation for this position. The base salary offered will vary based on location, experience, skills, and knowledge. The pay range does not reflect the total compensation package. Our rewards may include an annual bonus, flexible work arrangements, and many other region-specific benefits.
