- Develop project plans, including defining goals, objectives, timelines, clarification of roles and resource requirements.
- Lead and/or coordinate project activities, ensuring timeliness and adherence to project schedules.
- Draft agreements, agendas, and copy/content for messaging, as required to drive the project forward.
- Develop and implement best practices, processes, and templates to enhance stakeholder collaboration and project management efficiency.
- Manage and respond to requests for technical assistance, resources, connections, and guidance.
- Engage with contractors and community partners to assist in documenting and sharing learning from initiatives; monitor project status and provide regular project status updates to project participants and funders.
- Plan events related to projects and initiatives, including both in-person and virtual.
- Organize and share information effectively.
- Lead and participate in grant strategy and writing.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy.
- Identify and plan outreach activities to garner community support for projects, including funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Bookkeeper, Accountant, and Executive Director to manage project budgets, track expenses and report updates.
- Identify potential risks or obstacles that may impact project timelines or deliverables; implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Use a donor database to store and track donor information.
- Understand the statewide program and policy landscape and determine how best to align with other relevant initiatives.
- Schedule, plan and conduct meetings with partners/grantees to communicate project progress, address barriers and identify solutions.
- Monitor The Collaborative's progress and document our story; prepare to be a statewide or national model for how to launch similar initiatives.
- Write copy for outreach emails, use an email marketing platform to send newsletters, and develop LinkedIn social media posts.
- Work with Executive Director to develop video podcasts.
- Minimum 5 years' related experience, including project management, grant writing, fundraising, and event planning
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and automobile liability coverage or access to an insured vehicle
- Project management or nonprofit management certification or coursework helpful
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to build strong and trusting relationships with both partners and colleagues
- Able to use technology competently. Proficient in project management software, Google Suite, Constant Contact, donor databases, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more
- Ability to give and receive feedback in a kind and constructive manner
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic start-up environment with ambiguity where the plans are rapidly developed or change repeatedly

Job Summary
The Oregon Health and Education Collaborative is seeking a Deputy Director to work closely with our Executive Director to continue building this statewide social impact organization (501c3).
The mission of The Collaborative is to support partnership between healthcare and education to generate positive outcomes for ALL of Oregon's youth.
The Deputy Director will play a critical role in large statewide initiatives, including project planning and implementation, fundraising, communication, and outreach.
