    Accounts Payable Supervisor
    Dallas, TX - Hybrid, 3 days onsite

    One of Vaco's multinational clients based here in the Dallas area is looking to onboard an AP Supervisor to replace someone transitioning to a different department. Looking for high-volume experience, SAP, and a track record of process improvement. Will supervise a team of 3-5 direct reports.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of accounts payable specialists, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback to team members to optimize productivity and quality of work.
    • Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable processes, including invoice receipt, coding, approval workflows, and payment processing.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all invoices and supporting documentation, resolving discrepancies and issues promptly.
    • Maintain organized and efficient filing systems for invoices and related records, both electronically and physically.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, resolving payment-related inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to verify purchase orders, pricing, and terms, ensuring alignment with contracts and agreements.
    • Prepare and analyze accounts payable aging reports, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting as required.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, implement best practices, and enhance financial controls.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or relevant certification preferred.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
    • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, principles, and best practices, including GAAP and IFRS guidelines.
