    Description


    We are excited to partner with a well known client in Denver as they expand their Accounting Department and seek to add a Project Accountant to join their team.

    The Project Accountant will play a critical role in overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting. This role offers a hybrid work model, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.


    Required Skills:
    Work closely with project managers and the finance team to develop project budgets and forecasts.
    Monitor project costs, including labor, materials, subcontractor expenses, and overhead costs.
    Review and approve project-related invoices, purchase orders, and change orders.
    Track project progress and variances against budgeted costs and revenue projections.
    Prepare monthly project financial reports, including profit and loss statements, cash flow projections, and project status updates.
    Assist in the preparation of project bids and proposals, including cost estimates and pricing analysis.
    Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely invoicing and payment processing.
    Reconcile project accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date project financial records in the accounting system.

    Prepare and coordinate presentations and briefing material, of a highly confidential nature, for senior level managementApprove write-offs of project related billings that cannot be billed to clients.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of experience as a Project Accountant within the construction industry.
    Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Familiarity with project management software is preferred.
    Advanced knowledge of financial reporting standards.


    Compensation:
    $80,000- 95,000 + Medical Benefits, Paid Sick Leave, 401k, Transit & Parking BenefitsSalary range is determined based on factors such as relevant experience, expertise, qualifications, and other job-related considerations.
