- Performs traffic engineering and planning studies, develops plans and specifications, and prepares cost estimates and project reports.
- Supervises Project Engineers, EITs, and CAD technicians.
- Schedules work for all team members

- Reports to the department manager and works closely with all project disciplines.
- Manages project design schedules, budgets, and scope.
- Responsible for project quality control. Involved with planning, design, and construction phases of projects.
- Coordinates with the client and is responsible for meeting client schedules and budgets.
- Coordinates with local office and firm management to set, manage, and achieve specific office and firm goals.
- Assists and sometimes leads business development efforts to identify, pursue and win new work for the office and firm as a whole.
- Preparation of PS&E including traffic signal, signing and pavement marking, Illumination and ITS design
- Traffic forecasting and Transportation planning
- Traffic Signal Timing
- ITS planning and design
- Freeway and Arterial Capacity/Operational Analysis
- Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA)
- Intersection design and analysis
- Micro-simulation modeling
- Bicycle and pedestrian facility planning and design
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- 8-12 years of project experience in the field of traffic/transportation Engineering
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Licensed Texas Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Proficiency in Synchro, MicroStation, and Highway Capacity Software (HCS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to lead and manage multiple traffic/transportation projects.
- Master's degree preferred.
- PTOE, PTP, RAS certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in VISSIM
- Precertification in TxDOT work Categories.
