    Project Engineer

    Location: New York City

    Industry: Heavy Civil

    About the Company

    Established 45 years ago, one of the of the largest Heavy Civil and Infrastructure contractors are looking to add an experienced Project Engineer to their team.

    Their portfolio of work throughout New York includes sitework, large utility projects and concrete foundations with project values ranging up $200m.

    They pride themselves on excellent staff retention, with attractive benefits, annual bonus schemes and progression plans.

    Experience Required

    • At least 3 years of experience working as a Field Engineer, Project Engineer or similar related position
    • Prior experience working in the Heavy Civil/ Utilities construction industry with experience on public sector projects is preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or similar related field is preferred but not essential.
    • Basic understanding of material take offs, short-term lookaheads/scheduling
    • Basic ability to interpret and alter drawings/ specifications.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Responsibilities

    • Provide technical engineering support to Project Manager and Superintendent
    • Administer corporate safety program
    • Document control, material procurement, work-plans, submittals, quantity tracking
    • RFIS, submittals
    • Assist Superintendent in field/crew management to ensure adherence to contractual standards.
