    We're growing our offerings, building on the launch of our successful streaming platform ViX.TelevisaUnivision is seeking a Senior Data Science Engineer, Customer Profile to join our Enterprise Data Science team.

    The Enterprise Data Science team serves as the data science hub for the organization, providing access and insights to our business leaders as they both develop new services and optimize existing services.

    This team is responsible for building and enhancing large-scale and high-performance systems to organize and store data from multiple platforms and conducting advanced statistical analyses to help optimize the experience for our digital audience.

    This team also develops key data assets for the company, including the TelevisaUnivision Household Graph, personalization, and lifecycle propensity algorithms for ViX, lookalike modeling capabilities, proprietary customer segments, and manages relationships with key partners to improve UCI data assets and enable new data-driven services.

    The Senior Data Science Engineer, Customer Profile will be responsible for owning and developing the in-house customer profile, powering real-time messaging, personalization, and marketing efforts for ViX, the largest Spanish-language streaming platform in the world.

    This individual will develop the data asset that powers various experiences on the ViX app, ensuring user attributes are generated in a timely fashion, and that the cloud architecture that makes those attributes available is scalable and fault-tolerant.

    This role reports into the Head of Data Science.
    YOUR DAY-TO-DAY: (Responsibilities)Maintain and develop the TelevisaUnivision Customer Profile for both batch and real-time use casesGenerate net-new customer attributes leveraging 1st and 3rd party data assets, models, and other attributes created within the data science organizationFacilitate data-driven and informed decision making and prioritizationExplore new metrics and features for incorporation into the customer profile that provide business value to the marketing and product organizationsDevelop strong cross-functional partnerships across ViX and the broader TelevisaUnivision organization to drive team success


    YOU HAVE:
    (Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience)5+ years of experience with data science and data engineeringExperience developing cloud data infrastructure for both batch and real-time use casesDemonstrated use and understanding of statistical analysisExpert level proficiency in SQLExpert level proficiency in PythonExperience with at least one cloud architecture service (GCP/AWS/Azure)Experience leveraging a wide-column store cloud database (Cassandra, HBase, BigTable)Experience leveraging a cloud data warehousing environment (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)Bachelor's degree in a broadly quantitative fieldExperience conducting analyses to drive business impactExperience communicating effectively with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders of different disciplines(Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience)Experience doing deep product analytics work for a D2C (preferably video streaming) appExtensive experience with Google Cloud Platform, leveraging Vertex AI and Google BigTableAdvanced (M.S./Ph.

    D.) degree in a broadly quantitative fieldExperience with large data sets and data warehouse environments (BigQuery/Snowflake)Ability to thrive in a high pressure and rapidly changing, less structured environmentAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain focus and confidentialityStrong relationship building abilityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFull professional proficiency in English and either professional Spanish proficiency or the desire to become proficient in SpanishHas knowledge of and actively consumes TelevisaUnivision content is a plusELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSMust be willing to work in the USEmployment/education will be verifiedApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisExact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

    Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S.

    locations that would be applicable to the position.


    Salary Range:
    $140,000- $180,000 + Benefits
