Controller - Non ProfitSummary:
The Non Profit Controller will be responsible for finance, accounting, financial operations and will supervise a staff.
The Controller will ensure accounting systems are optimized and ensure policy and procedures are up to date and in place.

Responsibilities of Controller:
Oversee accounting department ensuring transactions are in compliance with GAAP reporting standards
Analyze metric data and assist in financial forecasting period to period
Assist in budgeting process that is in accordance with the annual operating plan
Manage cash and maintain optimal levels
Manage performance of investment portfolio
Coordinate external audit
Financial system enhancements and optimization
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and responsible for the preparation of the annual Form 990
Other duties as assigned
Requirements of Controller:
BA/BS plus CPA OR MBA/MS/MA REQUIRED
10+ years of accounting and finance experience in a complex not for profit organization
7+ years of supervisory experience
Excellent analytical skills and expert experience in the accounting cycle
Thorough knowledge of GAAP
Grants reporting and grants compliance
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
