    Purpose Statement:
    The ACE Counselor plays a vital role in furthering the mission of Calvary Christian Academy. This position is responsible for childcare during after-school hours.

    The specific focus of this role is to facilitate additional learning and activities for children in a safe environment and in a manner that will glorify the Savior.


    In this role, your passion and your efforts assist in fostering Christian spiritual growth in the students and will directly impact Calvary Christian Academy to achieve its religious mission to "make disciples "for Christ.


    Scope:
    The ACE Counselor interacts directly with children of all ages and grade levels. He/she participates in activities with the children through games, playground activities, and videos.

    This person interacts with all students, staff, pastors, and anyone else on the campus as a representative of Calvary Christian Academy.

    The person who holds this position must be ordained, commissioned, or licensed as a Minister of the Gospel.

    The ACE Counselor is a Minister of the Gospel in accordance with the requirements for licensure in Calvary Chapel's Ecclesiastical Practices Manual.

    As a Minister, this role plays an important part in furthering the religious mission of Calvary Chapel.


    Specific ACE Responsibilities:

    • Supervise children at all times and keep track of their location.
    • Must develop and maintain a schedule that provides Christian enrichment to the students in his care in order to further the mission of Calvary Christian Academy.
    • Be prompt to all assigned activities and follow schedules precisely.
    • Follow all ACE Handbook policies in order to further the mission of Calvary Christian Academy.
    • Maintain radio contact with the office to know when children are to be released.
    • Ensure that children go home with the proper adult.
    • Interact with children so that they enjoy their time at ACE and help students grow in their knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
    • Pray with children who have a need or who have been disciplined.
    • Provide children with snacks and clean the snack area afterward.
    • Help children with their homework and see that it is done on the days it is assigned.
    • Ensure students are well behaved and disciplined by the proper authority when a need arises.
    • Keep accurate attendance records for check-in and check-out.
    • Transport children safely to different areas for different ACE activities
    • Assist with other age groups as necessary.
    • Ensure that injured children receive the needed medical attention from the ACE Director and complete an incident report and have the ACE Director review and sign.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the ACE Director.
    • Must be able to lift 40 lbs

    • Love to serve the Lord.
    • Be able to lift 40 lbs.
    • Able to bend, and be flexible around kids.
