- Collaborating with the applications group on project schedules, budgets, and feasibility.
- Developing designs and control schemes for machines and integration into automation systems.
- Integrating existing software and developing new solutions as needed.
- Working with a team to enhance the standard code base.
- Troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Calibrating precision equipment and tuning machine vision systems.
- Operating machines for testing and production, optimizing performance.
- Assessing automation system efficiencies and conducting statistical analysis.
- Assisting in equipment installation and customer support.
- Researching new technologies and mentoring junior engineers.
- Ensuring high project quality and client satisfaction.
- Traveling as needed for project requirements.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5 years of software development or engineering experience.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex software systems and control systems design.
- Familiarity with machine vision applications and statistical analysis.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in programming industrial robots, PLCs, and HMI systems.
- Knowledge of ABB, Fanuc, and Allen-Bradley/Rockwell platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Cognex vision systems.

Position: Currently, we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Longmont, CO. The Software Engineer role involves providing software solutions and support for factory automation equipment across all project phases, including estimating, designing, programming, testing, installing, and supporting. Additionally, the Software Engineer contributes to company-wide initiatives like standardization and developing new technologies.
