    Job Description

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Reviewing project information to understand scope, including schedules, process flows, manuals, commercial documentation, and engineering specs.
    • Applying electrical and mechanical engineering principles for analyzing, designing, testing, and troubleshooting industrial process control systems with cost efficiency in mind.
    • Designing control systems for interfacing with existing unit operations equipment, assessing system components, requirements, and interactions.
    • Troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, control, and process issues in live systems as well as simulations.
    • Coordinating and leading technical design reviews of projects, updating and archiving necessary documentation.
    • Assisting in all project documentation creation following established processes and customized needs.
    • Supporting site commissioning and internal/external customer communications.
    • Interfacing with management, project managers, colleagues, and engineers to keep stakeholders informed of project risks during execution.
    • Ensuring project deliverables, customer CTQ compliance, and on-time schedule performance.
    • Engaging with customers and suppliers for technical direction and support.
    • Supporting the streamlining of engineering processes and business growth.

    Required Skills (Technical Competency):

    • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from an accredited institution.
    • 3 to 5 years of engineering experience with excitation or power electronics hardware and/or software control systems.
    • Demonstrate a flexible mindset and eagerness to learn new systems and processes while juggling multiple projects.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
    • Willingness to relocate to the Longmont/Denver, CO area.
    • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

    • Primarily office settings with occasional involvement in shop floor activities.
    • Significant amount of telephone and computer work.
    • Working in heavily regulated industries with strict adherence to procedures.
    • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by adjusting work hours accordingly.
    • Typical workday of 8 hours plus lunch, totaling a 40-hour week with core hours from 9 AM to 4 PM.
