    HDR is currently seeking a Controls Engineer to join our fast growing Building Engineering Services group in Denver.

    Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Controls Engineer, we'll count on you to:

    Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresCoordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on scheduleConduct systems integration of the I&C system, including programming of PLCs/PCs and HMI customizing for various control software programsReview electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesWrite and edit I&C specifications, and select equipment and monitoring/control devicesCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documentsMake decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as neededFunction as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this positionSupervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as neededProvide construction contract administration as neededPerform other duties as neededQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Electrical, Electrical Engineering or closely related fieldPE requiredMinimum of 5 years applicable experiencePLC/WTP and WWTP software programming experienceHands-on experience designing I and C Systems, including schematics and loopsExperience managing controls projectsKnowledge of Modicon, Wonderware and InterlutionProficiency with Microsoft Office productsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred QualificationsPrevious work experience with an A&E/Consulting Engineering firmWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.

    Benefits and Compensation:


    We provide a comprehensive benefits package that promotes employee ownership, employee health, performance, and success; which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time off and parental leave, paid holidays, 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match, employee referral bonuses and tuition reimbursement.

    The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $75,614 - $108,020 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
