Here's the Gist:
Wolfspeed is seeking a Document Control Manager to join the Facilities Engineering team at our new location in Siler City, NC - the world's largest silicon carbide materials factory. You will be responsible for managing the facilities engineering documentation team, ensuring accuracy, organization, and security of physical and electronic materials. Documentation includes building information model, construction drawings, P&IDs, specifications, O&Ms, submittals, and other materials. The ideal candidate will have experience with leading a team of professional technical writers, BIM modelers and drafters and be familiar with typical software used for engineering and construction projects. Your knowledge and ambition for documentation excellence will help us achieve our quality and sustainability goals.

The Day-to-Day

Manage documentation team members which may include full time and contracted staff.
Collaborate with global engineering team, site engineering team, and project teams to ensure high quality and standardization of documents.
Administer electronic document management systems for Siler City site.
Develop and report on key performance indicators.
Ensure revision and change control of as-built documents
Communicate internally and externally with stakeholders on documentation status and approvals or rejections.
Champion best practices for document and records management.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Technical Writing, Communications or related degree
Experience in industrial sector engineering, construction, manufacturing, and/or facilities.

This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
