    Corporate Human Resources Director - Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission


    The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is a nationally recognized leader in land use planning, parks, and recreation, achieving countless awards for innovation, stewardship and an unprecedented six Gold Medals for national excellence in recreation & park leadership.

    The Corporate Human Resources Director is a strategic, forward-thinking leader who provides expert guidance and advice on human resources matters for the agency.

    The Human Resources Director also provides oversight of all programs and activities relating to employment and working conditions.

    Services include training coordination, diversity outreach efforts, apprenticeship development, personnel management reviews along with programs carried out by the following cross-functional teams: Classifications and Compensation; Employee Health and Benefits; Employee and Labor Relations; Employee Records/HRIS; Recruitment and Selection Services; and Training and Organizational Development.

    The annual salary range for this position is $107,141 to $189,756 DOE/DOQ. The Commission provides a robust and highly competitive benefits program.

    This position requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Management Science or any related field; and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience that includes substantive work in the range of duties and responsibilities in this class specification.

    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, which together total twelve (12) years.

    A valid driver's license in accordance with both State and Commission rules and regulations is required; driver's license must be unencumbered by restrictions, revocations, suspensions, or points that could limit the employee's ability to drive.

    SHRM certification as a SCP desired.
