    Responsibilities Noblis Mission Solutions for Defense (MSD) NAVWAR Operations provides naval lifecycle management, engineering, enterprise transformation and program management support
    Noblis MSD's engineers, developers, technical staff, programmers, analysts, and program managers identify and deploy new shipboard technologies, integrate information technology across shipboard platforms, and develop strategies to support the Warfighter
    Noblis MSD is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center, specifically on software defined networking for afloat and shore networks
    This is a hybrid position located in San Diego, CA.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide engineering support for the development of software defined networking solutions for optimizing LAN/WAN operations (surface, submarine, airborne, unmanned vehicles, and shore sites).
    • Support the development of system operational requirements, requirements gap analysis, requirements verification, and validation for baseline fielding.
    • Provide program support for engineering technical reviews and artifact deliverables.
    • Support software defined WAN development testing for technical insertion.
    • Provide technical support services, including systems engineering, software engineering, network engineering, testing, and automation.
    • Provide human systems integration development support.
    • Provide engineering support in ship/shore WAN configurations, evaluating and resolving technical problems, and recommending configurations updates.
    • Understand and interpret systems engineering deliverables, including Government Furnished Information and system/network architecture drawings.
    • Utilize Agile tools to manage workflow (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)

    Required Skills:

    • Networking system design and development
    • Routing and switching technologies, including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP on virtualization software environment for LAN/WAN
    • Network performance analysis for shipboard environments, identifying optimal resolutions and recommending permanent configuration changes as needed.
    • Experience with conducting tests for network high-availability and resiliency, application containerized hosting, and network security.
    • Process improvement and risk mitigation skills

    Required Qualifications Required Qualifications:

    • Secret clearance required with ability to obtain Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information (SCI)
    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology + 5 years of relevant experience
    • Minimum IAT Level II must possess current IA certification: CompTIA Security+, Cisco Security, CASP, CISSP, and other advanced IA current certification PLUS Operating system certification such as: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Linux+
    Microsoft design or other system certifications/training.


    • Proven experience in troubleshooting and systems administration.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • 7+ years experience with afloat network systems design
    • Software defined networking implementation including server, storage and routing design
    • Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance

    Education:
    Master's Degree in technical area

    Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws
    The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status
    Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours
    The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees
    Posted Salary Range USD $90, USD $158,000.00 /Yr
