    Description
    City Cruises is looking for Boat Captains (Full Time) for the Marine operation in Alexandria.

    About the Role:

    As Boat Captains, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety, quality, and satisfaction of all guests while also maintaining profitability. This involves greeting guests and ensuring their needs are met, following procedures meticulously, overseeing the crew, and piloting the vessel adeptly.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Cruise Execution
    • Act as the cruise captain and ensure compliance with outlined procedures
    • Collect essential event details to fulfill special guest requests
    • Conduct pre-cruise meetings to inform the crew about necessary information
    • Ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures for both staff and guests
    • Participate in the Safety Program and emergency drills
    • Maintain and oversee the ship's systems and facilities
    • Ensure strict compliance with regulations and Emergency Response Plan
    • Execute assigned projects by management
    Operations Team Management
    • Recruit and train operations staff when needed
    • Schedule crew based on staffing requirements
    • Adhere to performance management guidelines and recommend crew promotions
    • Foster positive relationships with department heads and peers
    • Promote teamwork within the staff
    Guest Service
    • Resolve guest issues in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager
    • Implement safety programs in line with regulations and company policies
    Administration
    • Maintain shift records and documentation
    • Ensure accurate and prompt completion of incident reports
    • Assist in payroll administration and scheduling
    • Execute additional duties as assigned
    • Attend all scheduled meetings
    • Assist in accounting tasks including invoice processing
    Additional Duties as Required

    Requirements and Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Hold a 100-ton license with a clean record
    • Minimum five years of marine experience, including two years as a captain
    • Detailed knowledge of ship's systems and maintenance
    • Proficient in vessel operation according to regulations
    • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
    • Ability to handle guests with patience, tact, and diplomacy
    • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
