    City Cruises is searching for Boat Captains (Part Time) for our Marine operation in Alexandria.

    About You:

    The ideal candidate is flexible, dynamic, and embodies City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Cruise Execution

    • Rotate as cruise captain and ensure adherence to detailed procedures for a seamless experience, including crew supervision, vessel piloting, safety standards, and guest satisfaction
    • Gather cruise event details to fulfill guest's requests for a memorable experience
    • Conduct pre-cruise meetings and ensure safety standards compliance
    • Participate in safety programs and emergency drills
    • Maintain ship's systems and facilities
    • Adhere to Coast Guard rules and regulations
    Operations Team Management
    • Recruit, train, and schedule crew
    • Manage crew performance and recommend promotions
    • Build positive relationships with department heads and peers
    • Foster teamwork within the staff
    Guest Service
    • Resolve guest issues and oversee safety programs
      • Administration
      • Complete shift records, incident reports, and payroll tasks
      • Participate in vessel maintenance, crew training, and scheduling
      • Attend meetings and assist in accounting tasks
      Other
      • Perform additional duties as assigned

      Requirements & Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • Must have a 100 ton license with a clean record
      • Minimum of five years of marine experience, including two years as a captain
      • Detailed knowledge of ship's systems and maintenance
      • Operate vessel according to Coast Guard rules
      • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with Microsoft Office
