We are looking for new captains to join the team


Requirements:


  • USCG OUPV minimum required (Inland is fine)
  • Must be current with first aid and CPR before start date
  • Must display good seamanship, watchkeeping and safety awareness
  • Be available oncall for one or both of the shifts (flexible)


  • Weekday crew: Tuesday

  • Thursday


  • Weekend crew: Friday

  • Sunday
  • Successful applicants will have to be oncall for their shift every week from April 1st to October 30th.

Job duties

  • Operate an outboard powered skiff in high traffic density inland waters
  • Provide personable narration and guide services
  • Report any illegal or dangerous sightings to authorities
  • Keep a log at the end of each day
  • Inspect vessel at the beginning of each day for mechanical issues, safety items and cleanliness
  • Ensure vessel is kept clean between each trip
  • Transport equipment and fuel to boat from time to time
  • Have a clean driving record
Pay is at an effective $45/hr (after a probationary period of $35/hr). Area-specific training will be provided.

New captains are encouraged to apply. We value a willingness to learn and the right attitude more than just experience. The work location is in the Wharf Marina.
