    Senior Component Engineer (Electrical)

    Location:
    Role onsite based from either El Segundo, CA, Boulder, CO or Austin, TX

    Package:
    $90,000 - $140,000 + Benefits + Package


    Join a forward-thinking team as a Senior Component Engineer II, where you will drive the development of high-reliability electronics for cutting-edge satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems.

    This role is perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic startup environment and are keen to lead component engineering initiatives.


    Your Role:

    • Lead the selection, standardization, qualification, and verification of EEE components.
    • Develop and maintain standards and policies for EEE parts used in aerospace applications.
    • Act as the technical liaison with customers, defining testing and qualification standards for EEE parts.
    • Drive the roadmap for innovative parts and components, collaborating with design teams to ensure timely product upgrades.
    • Ensure component compliance with industry standards like INST-002, AEC-Q100, and MIL-STD-1547B.
    • Coordinate new component evaluations during product development phases and handle all related documentation and compliance checks.
    • Conduct reliability analyses and cost assessments for components, engaging in vendor audits and mitigating obsolescence risks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage high-reliability EEE part processes from selection to implementation.
    • Interface with customers to define exacting EEE part standards and testing requirements.
    • Evaluate and endorse new components, ensuring alignment with technical and regulatory standards.
    • Participate in parts approval requests, design reviews, and risk mitigation activities.
    • Analyze, derate, and forecast the reliability of components tailored to specific aerospace needs.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
    • Minimum 6 years of experience in component engineering, preferably in aerospace or related sectors.
    • Deep knowledge of EEE component selection, screening, and qualification processes.
    • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication skills, with a robust capacity for leading cross-functional teams.
