    Description

    The City is hiring candidates with two years of experience in the operation of audio-visual equipment or an Associate's degree in a closely related field and one year of experience.

    ABOUT THE POSITION


    This is full performance work in the installation, maintenance and repair of communications systems and related equipment or in the operation, installation and maintenance of audio visual systems.

    An employee in the Communications Specialty installs, configures, programs, troubleshoots, repairs and inspects such communications equipment as telephone systems, communication circuits, network cabling, fiber optic connections and related peripheral and ancillary terminal equipment.

    An employee in the Audio-Visual Services Specialty performs set up, installation, operation, testing, and troubleshooting of audio, video, and lighting controls related to presentations, performances and security functions at the Free Library.

    Work includes performing system backups.

    Work is performed under the general supervision of a technical superior and involves light physical exertion and some disagreeable working conditions.
