    Primary Objective of Position:

    Primary responsibility is to analyze demands to fulfill and replenish inventories at Operation Centers & Direct Shipments to meet Member demands, as well as manage pricing and member communication with Packinghouses, Sunkist and vendors.



    Minimum Educational and Experience Qualifications/Requirements:



    • Four-year degree in Supply Chain, Agriculture, or Business; or equivalent education and work experience related to agriculture or customer service.
    • Seven years related work experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Customer Service.
    • Familiarity with supplies and equipment used by packinghouses and growers preferred.
    • Must have excellent Customer Service and Inter-personal skills and be able to deal with individuals in a positive and professional manner.
    • Basic arithmetic ability, 10-key a plus.
    • Ability to exercise self-motivation, flexibility, initiative, and good judgement.
    • Analytical, intuitive and ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.
    • Effective time management skills.
    • Ability to travel overnight.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Power Point, SAP a plus.
    • Valid unrestricted California driver's license and a reliable automobile available for business use as required.
    • Must be able to provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States

    Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

    The primary function of this position is the analyzation of forecasts and demand, as well as the timely and most cost effective procurement of packaging materials supplied to our Member based customers.

    In conjunction, this position is responsible for maintaining the published price list, as well as packing house quarterly scorecards, and managing and defining the purchasing process of necessary goods and services in a timely, economical, and efficient manner in order to meet our customer service goals.


    • Maintains a close relationship with Sunkist and member customers by analyzing and monitoring Sunkists forecasted volumes versus actual sales.
    • Creates and maintains forecasting model to monitor historical data vs forecast
    • Manages the day to day movement of all packaging materials within the Operation Centers, working closely with the Carton Plant, and various vendors.
    • Monitor daily movement of SKUs in season.
    • Maintains a data base for vendors, products, prices, availability, and market conditions
    • Has visibility of all orders received and in return places orders with the designated vendor(s) or Carton Plant. And, follows up on timely deliveries.
    • Responsible for preparing packinghouse scorecards quarterly.
    • Assists in procurement to meet the demands of our members, by managing open Packinghouse sales orders.
    • Receives routine calls from Packinghouses, Vendors and Sunkist.
    • Initiates correspondence with members and suppliers regarding orders
    • Provides excellent internal customer service and develops service tracking mechanisms.
    • Maintain weekly shortage logs and works to prevent shortages.
    • Responsible for maintaining published price list and sending out to packinghouses annually or bi-annually.
    • Will manage contract pricing by maintaining all pricing for bags and cartons.
    • Analyzes off season inventory position by analyzing skus for possible addition to slow moving list and reviewing upcoming categories prior to season start.
    • Manages slow moving packaging, combining efforts between Sunkist and FGS
    • Manages obsolete items on a daily basis.
    • Maintain samples of packaging in storage room and pull obsolete skus as needed.
