    The role you'll contribute:

    The Inventory Controls Specialist Intermediate maintains inventory in warehouse and at campus locations as required. Implements and follows safe practices to ensure security measures are always in effect.

    Performs scheduled campus deliveries and works with field technician to arrange additional deliveries or pick-up of equipment. Enters information into electronic database and updates asset and ticket records as required. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Leads out warehouse and campus inventories.

    Advances and receives equipment in approved situations and updates tickets in ticketing system accordingly. Maintains accurate filing of records of all inventory transactions.

    • Manages the complexity of a fast-paced warehouse environment, which requires the ability to support multiple facilities and their diverse technical procurement requirements simultaneously.


    • Provides high-level customer service to customers as well as AIT partners. Responds to emails and phone calls from vendors and customers, interacts with various employees to keep orders moving smoothly.


    • Responsible for meeting Service Level Agreement metrics for all assigned departments, on a monthly basis.


    • Ensures receipts for orders for IT and Telecom equipment and software are entered into requisition system in a timely manner. Able to identify supporting campuses of multiple business units.


    • Provides high-level customer service to customers as well as AIT partners.


    • Enter data into and maintain asset management system of all IT assets that are received and distributed from the IT warehouse.


    • Performs asset decommission process and recycling process, working with vendors for pickup. Obtaining proper documentation for confirmation of recycling meeting regulations and maintaining document files.


    • Handles returns good requests in a prompt and appropriate manner, collaborating with internal and external teams as needed to arrange for product retrieval and shipping.


    • Interacts with purchasing team, vendors, installation team, project team, and warehouse as required to process requests and schedule delivery of equipment.


    • Maintains records of inventory transactions and documents all information into electronic tickets.


    • Operate lift equipment and maintains licensing required for operation.


    • Maintains inventory of all items in warehouse, notifying leadership of any out-of-stock items or discrepancies in orders.


    • Maintains warehouse and ensures equipment is stocked appropriately for safety and cleanliness.


    • Inputs data and maintains asset management system.


    • Runs consumable reports from inventory system(s) and pulls equipment for delivery for each supported campus.


    • Prepares equipment, palletizing, if necessary, for campus deliveries.


    • Performs deliveries of equipment to various campuses utilizing delivery vehicle.


    • Receives equipment deliveries ensuring shipments are intact and taking appropriate measures to report damaged shipments, documents receipts in appropriate inventory and ticket tracking system(s).


    • Processes advancing tasks of approved purchases in accordance with delivery schedule, ensuring equipment is distributed to the correct supporting location.


    • Update electronic call tickets with appropriate information in a timely manner while adhering to service level agreements.


    • Recognizes the need for possible escalation of requests and asks for assistance with escalations when necessary.


    • Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the AIT department and in order to comply with AdventHealth policies and procedures.


    • Knowledge of IT hardware and ability to identify hardware components.


    • Extensive proficiency in Microsoft office, especially Access, Excel, and Word


    • Problem solving skills, logical thinking, and creative abilities to explore vendor sources and choose the best course of action in sourcing and arranging accurate deliveries of equipment orders.


    • Proven prioritization and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a fast-paced environment.


    • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and responsibility to customer/end user requirements.


    • Ability to operate lift equipment (forklift and pallet lift).


    • Clean driving record and ability to drive delivery vehicle.
