    The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for upkeep, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting ice machines, PTAC units, plumbing (in both the guestrooms and common areas) as well as drywall and painting throughout the property.

    Requires basic working knowledge of general maintenance procedures. Full time position with benefits. Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required.


    Responsibilities:

    • Interact positively with hotel personnel and provide prompt solutions to problems.
    • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
    • Understands water treatment systems and swimming pools.
    • Perform Preventative Maintenance in guestrooms.
    • Conduct inspections for Preventative Maintenance and Mechanical Inspections.
    • Ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, and expendable supplies.
    • Respond to guest's calls regarding maintenance and repairs. Completes assigned work orders in a timely manner and within specifications.
    • Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
    • Understand and make basic plumbing repairs, HVAC repairs, installs drywall and repairs carpet & tile floor.
    • Understand minor electrical property needs.
    • Actively paint guestrooms and common areas.
    • Responsible for knowing hotel emergency procedures. May be required to work during inclement weather, to include storm related events. Ability and willingness to respond to emergency situations on short notice.
    • Maintain regular attendance, is consistently on time, and observes required work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards.
    • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes compliance with uniform policy.
    • Perform any other duties as requested by immediate supervisor or General Manager.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Six (6) months of maintenance experience
    • Hotel maintenance experience preferred
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • HVAC, Electrical and/or Plumbing Certification preferred
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs occasionally
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs regularly
    • Ability to bend and squat repeatedly
    • Ability to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift
    • Flexible to work day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
    Compensation & Benefits
    $17.00 per hour
