CNC Plasma Table Operator - Sarasota, United States - Trident Building Systems

Description

Operates CNC Plasma Table and related equipment to cut steel parts and accessories used in the fabrication of Pre-Engineered and Structural Steel building components.

• Ability to use overhead crane.
• Work safely and follow all established OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Must be able to read/interpret specifications and blueprints.
• Previous experience operating a Plasma Cutting Table.

• Setsup and operates CNC Plasma Cutting Table according to specifications and programming provided by drafting department.
• Selects specified material to be cut, moves it into position and monitors the cutting process to ensure accuracy and the safety of coworkers (material ranging from 16gauge sheet metal 1/2" plate).
• Operates overhead bridge crane, forklift and other material moving equipment needed to position steel stock on the cutting surface.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment, requisitions needed supplies and expendables. Reports malfunctions to Team Leader.
• Monitors the equipment controls.
• Once the cutting process is complete, the finished product must be QC checked by the operator and moved to the next workstation.
