Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination of scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to receive and distribute products/materials at the facility in a productive and costefficient manner
- Exercise the usual authority of a supervisor in relation to hiring, training, performance appraisals, merit increases, promotions, career development, and terminations.
- Ensure that orders are received and distributed in a timely manner to maximize customer service, and establish procedures to ensure adequate levels of supplies
- Ensure that incoming and outgoing orders are verified against appropriate documents
- Prepare and generate warehouse productivity reports for management; Assist management in establishing budgets as required, and adhere to budget requirements
- Drive implementation, development and maintenance of purchasing systems for warehouse operations
- Maintain and administer a proper stock locations system at the facility
- Ensure proper maintenance of the facilities, the equipment, and supplies. Recommend equipment requirements and replacements to management in order to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency
- Maintain warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA, local and state law
- Support and participate in the organization's Continuous Improvement Program
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 1 '" 2 years in warehouse management, having progressively assumed responsible experience in directing all aspects of warehouse operations
- Associates degree or higher preferred (Engineering/Logistics/Management)
- Good working knowledge of warehouse operations including local delivery and hazmat compliance
- Experience with forklift or Prior forklift certification.
- Basic computer skills helpful.
- Strong computer P/ skills and software knowledge
- Strong safety record and demonstrated experience of working within an established and advanced Health and Safety program.
