    Position Summary

    The Cost Account is responsible for various accounting and reporting tasks, including maintenance of costing, accounts payable, and other financial schedules/reports, and ensuring compliance with organization policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This individual will be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures and will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    Essential Requirements & Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with the cost and expense reporting and analysis on a monthly basis
    • Assist with the month-end close process ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and organizational policies
    • Oversee expense-based purchase requests and follow up on all related projects and budgets
    • Assist with company's property management including fixed assets, materials, spare parts, etc., perform periodically physical inventory
    • Timely follow-up with production cost data, including productivity, material consumption, manufacturing cost, etc.
    • Review and verify costs related to material such as duty, freight, etc.
    • Assist with the annual financial statement audit, within an area of responsibility, and periodic audits by various regulatory agencies
    • Assist with documenting policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
    • Coordinate preparation of tax returns and correspondence with various taxing authorities
    • Perform any range of special accounting projects as assigned by the finance manager

    Required Skills & Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
    • Bilingual Chinese/English language skills are required
    • One year of relevant professional experience
    • Working knowledge of accounting systems such as especially General Ledger
    • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills
    • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Solid organizational and time management skills
    • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment
    • CPA/CMA/ACCA is a plus
