General purpose of the job

Responsible for developing, managing, implementing, and executing Argos USA's Quality Assurance programs to ensure Customer Satisfaction through the process of developing concrete mix designs by efficiently using the most cost effective combination of concrete materials, laboratory testing processes and analysis.

Provides innovative solutions for customers.

Maintains comprehensive records on placed concrete to ensure continuous improvement in quality and cost efficiency of concrete mixes to optimize profit contribution, without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.

Individual accountabilities
Responsible for the quality of concrete produced at the plants within the division.

Oversees and designsvarious concrete mixes to ensure proper mix specifications are used on each order, with special attention toprojects requiring unique or "one-off" specifications.

Manages the review process on each job bid to ensure the selection of the proper mix design at the mostefficient cost by apportioning the optimal material quality/quantity, assures mixes meet project specifications,technical correctness and customer's requirements.

Oversees mix design submittals for projects and contacting Engineer's and Architect's when specifications donot meet ACI guidelines, obtains approval of mix designs form accrediting agencies, project engineers, etc.

Report monthly, mix optimization, deficiency in mix performance, and number of bids and submittalsproduced for each division.

Maintains all records of materials used in production of concrete, evaluates andtests raw materials in accordance with ASTM standards to ensure minimization of product failure.

Assist in the formulation of quality system procedures and work instruction for the continuous improvement ofArgos USA's quality system.
Tracks raw materials and product performances to help in the prevention of product failure. Minimizes thisrisk through the development of trend analysis and product performance records.
Evaluates product quality and performance to establish "Benchmarks" for products and raw materials.
Performs all needed quality control functions required to maintain a superior quality of concrete pursuant tothe QA Program.
Ensures batching and raw material control procedures are followed as specified in the QA Program.
Verifies that the procedures and testing performed in an area are technically correct.

Inspects, assesses, and reports on materials, processes, and product capabilities to ensure compliance withestablished material and product quality and performance standards.

Education
Associate Degree or Certificate. Technical knowledge and certifications
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I.
ACI Strength Testing Technician Certification.
Local DOT Certifications.
NRMCA Certified Concrete Technology Level III Diploma.
Experience with ACI-121 standards and principles.
Working knowledge of concrete products and production processes.
Proven team oriented and team-building skills of managing through influence. Area of experience

Area of Experience: 5 Plus Years. Languages
English C2
Spanish a plus

Annual Salary Range from $78,448.03 to $108,955.60
