- Provide financial, administrative and clerical services to the Accounting department
- Generates and submits custom client invoices
- Monitor and post incoming payments against client invoices
- Creates client statements and follows up with clients regarding outstanding invoices
- Enters vendor invoice data into accounting software
- Facilitates vendor payments which includes verification of correct vendor balance
- Verifies that Purchase Orders are coded correctly
- Communicates with vendors/clients via phone, email, mail, and in person
- Manages company credit cards and expense reporting software
- Creates Sales Orders and Work Orders for each project
- Manages month end reconciliation of financial accounts
- Reconciles and posts general ledger transactions
- Prepares Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable reports for internal use
- Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed
- Relays changes of applicable accounting information to appropriate employees
- Ensures the confidentiality and security of company's financial information
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Proficient in accounting software programs as well as Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to perform intermediate level Excel spreadsheet functions and formulas
- Ability to consistently respond timely and appropriately to shifting priorities
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and personalities and can switch gears quickly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent previous work experience in an Accounting role preferred
- At least 2 to 4+ years of Accounting experience required
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is integral to determining revenue and company profitability. The role performs financial transactions to ensure the company receives payments for goods/services offered to clients as well as controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling vendor invoices. The Accounting Specialist position is a fully on-site role with no remote possibilities.

This is a salary (exempt) position.
