    The Governor's Office of Planning & Research (OPR) seeks to fill a

    Limited-Term/Full Time Associate Governmental Program Analyst

    in the Youth Empowerment Commission.

    Rivas, 2021), the Youth Empowerment Commission (YEC) was formally established at OPR in 2023 as a statewide advisory body to provide meaningful opportunities for civic engagement to improve the quality of life for California's disconnected and disadvantaged youth and to make meaningful recommendations regarding legislation and state policy.

    The Office of Planning and Research is seeking to hire a Senior Program Analyst for the Youth Empowerment Commission (YEC).

    The Senior Program Analyst is responsible for leading the development and implementation of annual reports, developing best practices, leading, and coordinating efforts to develop and implement youth empowerment initiatives and programs, as directed by the YEC.

    This position serves as a lead analyst and independently conducts varied complex research activities to support data collection, implementation, and analysis for YEC.

    Working Conditions

    Located in an office setting in downtown Sacramento, directly across from the State Capitol. Various coffee shops and restaurants conveniently located within walking distance. Available street parking and State-owned parking garages nearby for convenience. Telework may be available in accordance with OPR's Telework Policy.

    The Office of Planning and Research (OPR) serves the Governor and his Cabinet as staff for long-range planning and research and constitutes the comprehensive state planning agency.

    OPR assists the Governor and the Administration in planning, research, policy development, and legislative analysis.

    OPR formulates long- range state goals and policies to address land use, climate change, population growth and distribution, urban expansion, infrastructure development, groundwater sustainability and drought response, and resource protection.

    OPR's budget programs include State Planning and Policy Development, Strategic Growth Council, California Volunteers, Office of Community Partnership and Strategic Communication, Racial Equity Commission, and Youth Empowerment Commission.
