    Operations & Program Director

    MISSION: Our mission in FACE is to advance the Asian American community's participation, contribution, and influence through faith and community partnerships.

    OVERVIEW: Established in 2001, FACE has fostered over 800 partners from White House to Fortune 500 Companies. FACE serves as a light and bridge between the Asian-American community and the greater community at large: by connecting and creating private and public collaboration, maximizing the capacities of faith-based organizations and other community non-profits, increasing access to resources and funds, assisting low-income individuals, and revitalizing neighborhoods. Current program examples include Stop the Hate, Homeownership, Foreclosure Prevention, Paid Internship, C2 Leadership Institute, Lighting the Community Summit, Affordable Housing, and Research.     OUR APPROACH: We accomplish our mission through community partnership with non-profits, churches, governmental agencies, and corporations, grant acquisition & distribution, training faith and community leaders, and assisting individuals and families in home ownership and employment training opportunities.

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    To support the CEO of FACE by providing operational excellence for the smooth running of FACE through the efficient and effective functioning of programs, grant acquisition, grant execution, and staff and office management in an ever changing environment.

    FOR THIS POSITION

    1. Assure the efficient and effective running of all FACE programs. Responsibilities will also include marketing, outreach, program implementation and reporting. (50%) Coordinate all grant related activities including: initiating grant application processes, writing grants, researching, and executing of grant funding. (15%)
    2. Lead the FACE office team by providing the logistical functioning of a physical office, a good system of staff supervision, staff development, team building and regular evaluations. Along with the CEO, this role may also help provide the HR policies and procedures to ensure an efficient running FACE Team. (15%)
    3. Assist the CEO in meeting operating goals and carrying out strategic priorities by initiating consistent input and recommendations as needed and collaborating in problem solving for FACE and interfacing with external partners as needed. (10%)
    4. Support the CEO with all board related activities including: board selection processes, training of board members, preparation of financial statements with accountants, relational building, and coordinating effective board meetings and events. (10%)

    KNOWLEDGE OF:

    • Modern office practices, procedures, equipment and software such as Microsoft Office 365, Sharepoint, Googledoc, or Sharefile.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    A bachelor's degree or higher in public or business administration, social work or a related field.

    Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in management, program development, fundraising/grant writing, and/or marketing.

    All candidates with equivalent blend of education and experience are encouraged to apply.

    Experience working with faith, government, corporate, and community nonprofits. Knowledge of AAPI and communities of color history is desired.

    Experience in working in community development space is desired.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ABILITIES

    Ability to work on occasional weekends and evenings. May be required to travel to meetings, conferences, site visits, or other public venues offsite.

    Use of computers requires hand/wrist motion and visual focus – requires extensive review of detailed documents, contracts, policies, financial reports, and grant agreements.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and more. This role also requires some personal transportation and travels via airplane and automobiles.
