- Supporting project and personnel management on a diverse set of advanced energy projects
- Ensuring the engineering deliverables for HRE are of the highest quality in the industry
- Developing and enhancing the skills of less experienced engineers and project managers
- Set, track, and report on team goals
- Manage a team of engineers and project managers in their professional development
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with a PE stamp preferable
- Minimum of 8-10 years work experience in electrical design engineering with a focus on renewable power systems and demonstrated track record for execution (Required)
- Experience/familiarity with energy markets, ISO/RTO operations, and electric power system interconnection
- Team management experience, including demonstrated ability to help direct reports grow and succeed
- Professionalism in all regards, high standards for deliverable quality, prompt and respectful communication etiquette, and keen attention to detail
- Aesthetic and design sensibilities in developing client/investor-ready content
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise, and accessible way, both in person and in writing

We are recruiting a Director of Engineering to support the firm's growth. HRE is rapidly expanding the scope of its business to include some of the most exciting technology developments driving the electric power industry today. Clients include Fortune 50 companies and advanced energy iconoclasts seeking to deliver the energy transition. This position will lead a team to solve complex technical challenges of a renewable power system.
Position Overview
In this role, you will lead the HRE Engineering team working with our in-house electrical and structural engineers, and civil engineering partners. This role is part of the HRE leadership team and reports to the CEO. Important components of the work will include managing the team to design and deliver engineering plansets and electric power studies as well as client relationship management for multiple advanced energy project engagements. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

Compensation and Benefits
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, this role's approximate base salary range is $160,000 - $175,000, not including profit-sharing. The candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certifications will determine the final compensation for this role. Hyde Renewables offers competitive salaries, profit-sharing, health coverage, ten paid holidays, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan and match, and a paid parental leave program.
