    Support Specialist - Springfield, United States - American National

    Support Specialist

    American National is hiring a Support Specialist to support our Property & Casualty Auto Claims Department.

    In this role you will work closely with our Claims staff to assist in the daily operations of the department.

    What You'll Do


    • Process daily outgoing correspondence produced by a particular department or role
    • Review all correspondence for accuracy, attaching proper forms, and prepare for mailing and pickup
    • Order and maintain adequate inventory of department supplies/forms, as needed; and do so by accessing the company online ordering website and following the approved corporate process
    • Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and/or monthly departmental reports, as needed
    • Distribute after hours voicemails and emails received in Outlook each morning to ensure timely callback and/or responses to customers
    • Input data into spreadsheets and produce statistical reports required by management, and type letters from correspondence
    • Compose letters and spreadsheets
    • Maintain knowledge of departmental procedures and insurance administration
    • Use an external platform daily to distribute and respond to daily activities
    What You'll Need


    • One year work experience in a customer-oriented business setting, managing multiple tasks, adhering to deadlines, utilizing available resources, and accomplishing goals
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
    • Ability to effectively manage time and work independently
    • Comfortable managing phone conversations
    • Passion to provide the highest quality of customer service
    • Effective and organized multi-tasker, with the ability to adapt
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • High attention to detail and follow-up
    • Ability to navigate various computer programs (Microsoft Office and internal systems)
