About the Job: In this role, you will work as a GenTax Support Specialist, providing application services for the Illinois Department of Revenue. Responsibilities include preparing business objects, writing SQL, and collaborating with user areas in coding and testing. If you have the required knowledge, skills, and experience, we encourage you to join our team at the Department of Innovation & Technology.

Essential Functions:
40%: Provide GenTax support for the Illinois Department of Revenue, including system documentation, coding, testing, and enhancements.
35%: Conduct applications programming support for the GenTax system using SQL and Visual Basic.
15%: Receive training on modern systems methodology and standard operating procedures.
5%: Stay updated on developments in the Application Service field through education and industry events.
Minimum Qualifications: Completion of two years of college in computer science or related fields or completion of an agency training program.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Visual Basic, SQL, application programming, IT documentation, and system lifecycle phases.
