Job Title: IT Support Analyst

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description: Our client is seeking an IT Support Analyst (Tier II). You would be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and escalating complex issues to Tier III support or other appropriate teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and minimizing downtime for our clients.

Responsibilities:

Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
Escalate complex technical issues to Tier III support or other specialized teams for resolution
Install, configure, and maintain software applications and operating systems
Set up and configure user accounts and access permissions
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, patches, and backups
Document support activities, solutions, and troubleshooting procedures
Collaborate with other IT teams to identify and implement process improvements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
3+ years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a Tier II or similar capacity
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Server) and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
Familiarity with Active Directory, group policies, and user account management
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)
Experience with remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems
Knowledge of basic networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
