- A master's degree in music is preferred; a bachelor's degree in music is required.
- Three to five years of prior experience in a related position, preferably experience creating and managing a youth choir as well as recruiting, hiring and supervising accompanists and instrumentalists.
- Candidates must have strong musical/vocal skills.
- Candidates must be enthusiastic and well-organized leaders and motivators of young men and women.
- Candidates must be self-motivated, be adaptable to changes in routine, have exceptional written and oral communication skills, have proficiency using computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Finale
- It is preferred that the Chorus Director be a practicing Catholic

Chorus Director - Kolbe Cathedral High School
Bridgeport, Connecticut
Kolbe Cathedral High School is seeking a Chorus Director to help create, launch and lead a new and sustainable coeducational student chorus.
Kolbe Cathedral is a Catholic high school and already has a small choir that performs religious songs at select masses and special events.
However, the new chorus is intended to be a larger group that ventures into appropriate popular music, including R&B, Motown and rock and roll genres.
We wish to identify and showcase the musical/vocal talents of our students and to spread the incredible story and mission of our school through the group's live performances within (and ultimately outside) of our region.
The position is available immediately but must be filled prior to the start of the '24-'25 school yearREQUIREMENTS
