    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsiblefor the managing of quality control measures, budgets, and projecttimelines for large scale projects across the fleet.This is to ensure long term projects areperformed in the most efficient manner ensuring rig integrity whileminimizing out of service period and cost. Implements project execution processes and ensure methodologies andprocesses are captured for future reference across the fleet.The Project Manager will have theauthority to manage the resource allocation to fleet projects asrequested and agreed with operating areas; provide recommendation andguidelines to rigs relating to SPS and other Special Projects; authorcorporate reports (Project proposals and audit reports) andexecute project deliverables based on specific project issued mandates.

    JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Project Manager's key area of responsibilities include:
    • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management according tocorporate standards
    • Optimal resource management (e.g., balanced across cost, quality,capability, productivity)
    • Ensuring project planning and status reporting is performed tocorporate standards.
    • Ensuring project execution and cost control is maintained tocorporate standards.
    • Inform stakeholders of project status based on project specificmilestones and deliverables.
    • Overall visibility and reporting onupcoming and ongoing projects within the organization.
    • Summary guidance and reporting across all Projects, as required.
    Specific tasks in connection with the role include, but are notlimited to:
    • Provideleadership and guidance to the Project Controls group to ensure arobust system of cost control is implemented throughout projectexecution such that the approved budget is not exceeded. This includessuch key factors as costs and commitments from all sources areaccurately tracked, change control is rigorous and effective, chargesto project budget are verified and that necessary approvals are inplace, completion costs are accurately forecasted, early warning ofpotential cost over-runs is provided.
    • Provideleadership and guidance to ensure that a fully integrated schedule isdeveloped, implemented, and tracked daily throughout the project duration;The commissioning schedule is finely detailed and integrated with theconstruction schedule; the OFE delivery schedule is fully developed andcarefully monitored and fully integrated with the constructionschedule.
    • Provide regular andaccurate progress reports to corporate management.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to theProject team to ensure that the rig is fully outfitted and commissionedprior to departure from the shipyard and Ready to Drill.
    • Ensure the Rig leaves the shipyard on orbefore the contract delivery date ready to drill and fully outfitted tomeet the specifications of the drilling contract.
    • Work closely with the client to ensure therig as outfitted and equipped is aligned with client requirements andexpectations.
    • Promote and develop teamwork within theproject group to sponsor Operations ownership of the rig, its equipment,and systems.
    • Ensure Operations andOperations Support ownership of the unit to eliminate re-engineeringfollowing departure from the shipyard.
    • Ensure projects are executed in accordancewith the terms of the shipyard contract, to a high HSE standard with theprimary objective of no injuries to personnel and no harm to theenvironment.
    • Ensureconstruction standards are maintained in accordance with the projectquality plan, and equipment and systems are installed in accordancewith corporate policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Ensure preferential engineering andconstruction preference engineering is eliminated.
    • Ensure project schedules are maintainedwith minimum delays and conflicting activities, and all project, shipyard,and vendor activities are conducted in accordance with the contract HSEplan.
    • Ensurelessons learned are addressed, actioned, and closed out on theproject.
    • Ensurecorporate management and the Client are fully and reliably informedthroughout project execution.
    • Provide regular and accurate financialreports to corporate management.
    • To review the project Risk Register,conduct regular reviews, prepare mitigation plans to ensure that they arecomplete and effective.
    • HSE: Provide leadership and guidance tothe project HSE Manager to implement a system of safe working practice thatis consistent across all project worksites.
    • Sponsor and support a cultureof safety awareness within the project team, vendors, and shipyardworkforce.
    • Facilitate and conduct regular all-party HSE meetings.
    • ProvideCorporate management and client with regular HSE reports complete withhistorical incident data and trend analysis.
    • Conduct frequent site auditsto ensure that all agreed safety management processes and systems areimplemented and effective.
    • Reviewshipyard activities daily with the Shipyard and the Project Planner toensure alignment with the project plan.
    • Monitor shipyard progress, identifypotential delays and implement timely remedial actions.
    • Conduct forwardanalysis of future activities to identify latent efficiencies and areaswhere there may be potential for schedule acceleration.
    • Conductdaily production meetings with shipyard production supervisors, vendorsupervisors and Project supervisors to discuss the day's activities and HSEmanagement.
    • Conduct daily forward-planning meetings with the shipyardproduction supervisors, vendor supervisors and Project supervisors toensure that there are no conflicts, and that preparation and resources arediscussed and fully in place for the following day's plan and futureactivities.
    • Take timely remedial action to resolve conflicts whendiscovered to ensure that there is minimum disruption to progress.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ANDEXPERIENCE

    Essential:
    • Minimum ofseven (7) years' experience inrespective high level project management discipline at supervisory level.
    • Advancedlevel of knowledge relating to typical equipment and systems onboard offshoredrilling rigs
    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Requirements
    • Relevantengineering degree or equivalent technical qualification
    • Must have good managerial/administrative skills todevelop and execute above role.
    • Abilityto liaise at high level with drilling units, technical teams, and unitmanagement.
    • Flexible to travel offshore as situations dictate.
    • Fully acquainted with management systems and assetmanagement systems, similar to TMS/IFS/Synergy.
