    The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University is seeking a Clinical Research CRCA Associate, who will become an integral part of a highly dynamic and multi-disciplinary team that performs cutting-edge translational and clinical research.

    Serve as primary contact with research participants, sponsors, and regulatory agencies. Coordinate with participant, and clinical and research labs for collection and processing of research samples.

    Directly interact with study participants and families in the process of collecting and managing participant clinical and research data.

    Manage research project databases and develop tools and study related documents to ensure protocol and regulatory compliance. Interact with participants in the collection of specimens.
    Train staff to comply with study specific and general research protocols as needed. .
    Review and audit consenting and data collection procedures on a regular basis, implementing changes as needed.

    Regularly inspect study documents to ensure ongoing regulatory and study protocol compliance; Regularly review hospital charges to be billed to study accounts and report errors in a timely fashion.

    Ensure essential documentation and recording of patient and research data in appropriate files per institutional and regulatory requirements.
    Participate in regulatory audits.
    Interact/collaborate with larger lab group to ensure successful completion of all aspects of the research.
    Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of a project
    Some experience in, and knowledge of, clinical research and GCP regulations
    Bachelor's degree in related field
    Knowledge of medical terminology

    Two year college degree and two years related work experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of related education and relevant experience.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

    Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification is preferred.

    Occasionally sit, reach above shoulders, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone and write by hand, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.

    Rarely kneel, crawl, climb ladders, grasp forcefully, sort and file paperwork or parts, rarely lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh 40 pounds or more.
