    Default job background
    Description

At Datadog, the People team is more than just human resources-it's a data-driven team dedicated to constantly improving the way we hire, develop, and support our most valuable asset: our people. Our People team are strategic problem solvers who work closely with leadership and employees to ensure that Datadog keeps scaling smoothly and remains a great place to work.

Datadog is looking for a Manager, Learning Technology to serve as the strategic owner and leader of our company-wide Learning Management System (LMS) and other eLearning technologies. Your work will be critical to the accessibility, standardization, quality control, and robust reporting of organization-wide learning initiatives as we rapidly scale.

You will have the opportunity to make a big impact at Datadog by creating and executing the strategic direction of our learning technology function. Your work will enable employees to access a large catalog of live and online training while providing the business visibility into holistic learning activities across the company. This cross-functional role will involve partnering with our HRIS team, People Analytics, enablement partners, and other stakeholders to maintain an effective and scalable learning tech environment.

The successful candidate will hit the ground running by playing a key leadership role in the strategy development, day-to-day management, and ongoing enhancement of our global LMS for Datadog. They will use feedback, data, and system reports to suggest improvements to our current tools, materials, processes, and user guidelines. The ideal profile is someone who can deeply understand our systems and strategically leverage them to meet the learning needs of the organization. You will have the support of one direct report and other L&D and enablement team members to execute operations.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

    What You'll Do:

    • Define and drive forward the vision and strategy for our learning technology suite, most critically our LMS
    • Develop and ensure adherence to efficient processes and standards that guide users to operate successfully and confidently within our systems
    • Configure and govern our learning tech stack in a way that enables us to capture clean and accurate data on all global learning experiences
    • Manage our learning technologies on an ongoing basis, including vendor management, user management, course management, content configuration, governance, troubleshooting, contract renewals, and setting up analytics for robust reporting
    • Partner closely with our HRIS and People Analytics teams on complex technical matters such as integrations, data protection, reporting and analytics, user access, and more
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company (e.g., department-specific Enablement teams, content SMEs, People Business Partners) to develop high-quality training within our LMS, educating course creators about key platform capabilities
    • Maintain visibility into our global course catalog and preserve high overall standards for learning at Datadog
    Who You Are:
    • At least 5 years of professional experience serving as the strategic owner and operator of an LMS in a large or complex environment
    • Deep familiarity and expertise working within an LMS, Docebo strongly preferred
    • Ability to comprehend complex technical matters and communicate key information to a non-technical audience, including leadership and end-users, in a clearly understandable way
    • Ability to collaborate, build relationships, and drive alignment with Datadogs at various levels as well as with external vendors
    • Exceptional organization and project management skills to drive cross-functional projects through completion
    • Proficiency with Workday HRIS and Tableau are a bonus
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

    Benefits and Growth:
