    Description

    BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
    The Tax operations Specialist supports the HCM Tax Department in an effort to achieve organizational goals. This person works closely with the stakeholders to support the payroll service client base.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION ARE:

    Import client tax liability from payroll platformsFile and pay client payroll taxes timely and accuratelyPrepare and file quarter and annual tax returnsSetup and balance all "full service" tax clientsMaintain client ID numbers, rates and deposit frequenciesPrepare and file amended tax returnsRun payroll tax reports and verify information reported is accurate for governmental agencies including all levels of Federal, state & local taxing jurisdictionsIdentify and solve root causes of discrepancies in daily, weekly, semi-weekly, semi-monthly, annual tax payments, and recommend process improvements when warranted.

    Coordinate printing/electronic filing of returns on behalf of clientsActively involved with testing software updatesOther projects as assigned by the VP of Payroll Tax.


    SKILLS:
    Must be extremely organized, have attention to detail, and meet critical deadlinesAnalytical with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skillsStrong interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal) to interface effectively with individuals at various levelsAbility to work well under pressure while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlinesSelf-motivated, with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environmentStrong Microsoft Office program experience, including Excel and Word


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


    Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business, or similar field of study preferred3-5 years payroll tax experienceAbility to handle multiple priorities at onceExhibit excellent customer service skillsDisplay above average computer and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft officeMaintain good communication skillsiSolved29 days agoIf you require alternative methods of application or screening, you must approach the employer directly to request this as Indeed is not responsible for the employer's application process.
