    Description

    Simpson Judge have collaborated with a top Insurance Defense firm who, due to increased workload, are looking to expand their Medical Malpractice department and invite an ambitious Associate Attorney.

    The firm is in search of an experienced Attorney, with a minimum of 4 years in Medical Malpractice litigation, to join their Manhattan-based team and contribute to the firm's achievements.

    As part of this role, you will handle a varied caseload of medical malpractice cases, from start to finish. It's a challenging yet fulfilling position that offers exposure to valuable, high-quality cases while collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage a diverse caseload of Medical Malpractice Defense cases independently
    • Prepare legal documents like pleadings, motions, and discovery demands
    • Conduct and defend depositions
    • Interview witnesses
    • Prepare cases for trial and attend Court as necessary
    • Lead mediations and settlement negotiations

    Qualifications:

    • Must be admitted to the New York bar
    • 4+ years experience in Medical Malpractice Defense
    • J.D. degree from an ABA accredited Law School
    • Ability to independently oversee all stages of the litigation process
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Effective organization and time management abilities
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
    • Preference for trial experience
